Education Structure in Pakistan

Pakistan's education system is not the same as the world's most modern education system, but it still helps an uneducated person to become a fully skilled and a great workerin various fields of the modern world. 

There is a network of state-of-the-art schools, colleges, universities and technical institutions all over Pakistan. From where thousands of domestic and foreign students come out every year to complete their required training and offer their services around the world.

Basic  Education  structure 

There are six periods of education in Pakistan that normally cover sixteen years of education, which are:

  • Primary education 
  • Middle Education 
  • Secondary education
  • Intermediate education
  • Bachelors
  • Masters

Primary education starts from class 1 to class 5, in Pakistan, children are admitted to school at the age of four or five. Basic education is given in both Urdu and English languages as well as writing is taught. Examinations are held three times a year, in which the last i.e. the third time examination is final and the children are promoted to the next class when they pass. This method of examinations is adopted till intermediate i.e. class XII. And the rest of the education i.e. Bachelors and Masters education system has a semester system under which examinations are conducted after every six months and at the end of the period, the results of all semesters are collected and made a final result.

Who and How can get admissions

Admission to any educational institution in Pakistan is based on merit. But apart from this, admission to universities can also be done on the basis of self-finance, but there are very limited seats. Apart from Pakistanis, foreigners can also take admission in Pakistan's educational institutions, whose policies have to be implemented in every institution.
